Number of generations

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008159

A characteristic parameter for dendrimers, representing the number of repetitive branching layers emanating from the core unit to the outermost periphery. Each generation adds a new layer of branching points and terminal groups. This number dictates the size and molecular architecture of the dendrimer molecule.
