Core unit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002580
The central molecular entity from which dendrons or hyperbranched polymer chains emanate. This unit serves as the focal point for the growth of the dendritic or hyperbranched structure, defining its overall architecture. In a dendrimer, the core unit is typically multivalent, providing multiple attachment points for the first generation of dendrons.
