Irregular macromolecule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006158
A macromolecule whose constitutional units are not all identical, or if identical, are not arranged in a regular sequence. This irregularity can arise from variations in monomer incorporation, branching, or defects during polymerization. Many naturally occurring polymers, such as proteins and nucleic acids, are irregular macromolecules.
