Polycondensation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009120
A polymerization reaction in which monomers react to form a polymer with the simultaneous elimination of a small molecule, such as water or methanol. This process typically involves monomers with at least two functional groups capable of reacting with each other. The degree of polymerization increases gradually throughout the reaction.
