Interfacial polycondensation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005939
A polymerization technique where two reactive monomers, each dissolved in immiscible solvents, react at the interface between the two liquid phases to form a polymer. This method allows for the synthesis of high molecular weight polymers under mild conditions. It is commonly used for the production of polyamides and polycarbonates.
