Polybismaleimide
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009114
A thermosetting polymer formed through the polymerization of bismaleimide monomers, which contain two maleimide functional groups. The polymerization reaction, an addition reaction across the double bonds of the maleimide groups, creates a highly cross-linked network structure. These materials exhibit high thermal stability, with glass transition temperatures that can exceed 250 °C, and are used in high-performance composites.
