Chain polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001845
A polymerization mechanism where monomer molecules are added one by one to the active site of a growing polymer chain, typically initiated by a reactive species. The active site is regenerated after each monomer addition, allowing for rapid chain growth. This process involves initiation, propagation, and termination steps.
