Living polymer chain

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006720

A polymer chain that retains its active center throughout the polymerization process, allowing it to continue growing upon further monomer addition. This chain maintains its ability to react with monomers even after the initial monomer supply is exhausted. Such chains are characteristic of living polymerization techniques, where termination and chain transfer reactions are largely absent.
