Chain length
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001843
The average number of monomer units incorporated into a polymer chain during a polymerization reaction, or the average number of propagation steps per initiated chain in a chain reaction. In kinetic terms, it is the ratio of the rate of propagation to the rate of initiation. A long chain length indicates an efficient chain reaction.
