Photoinduced polymerization

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008877

A polymerization reaction initiated by the absorption of light, which generates reactive species such as free radicals or ions. These species then propagate a chain reaction, leading to the formation of long polymer chains from monomer units. This method offers precise control over the initiation step and is widely used in coatings and 3D printing.
