Capillary sieving electrophoresis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001609

A separation technique in which analytes migrate through a sieving matrix within a narrow capillary under the influence of an electric field. The matrix, typically a polymer solution or gel, retards the movement of larger molecules more than smaller ones, allowing for separation based on size. This method is widely used for the analysis of macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins.
