Sieving

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010850

A mechanical process used to separate particles of different sizes by passing them through a mesh or screen with defined pore dimensions. This technique is commonly employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing to classify powders and granules based on their particle size distribution. The effectiveness of sieving depends on the mesh size and particle characteristics.
