Granules
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004996
Agglomerations of smaller particles, such as powders, prepared to form a solid pharmaceutical dosage form. They are created to improve properties like flowability, compressibility, and content uniformity before being compressed into tablets or filled into capsules. Granule size is controlled during manufacturing, with typical ranges falling between 0.2 and 4.0 millimeters in diameter.
