Granulation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004994

A pharmaceutical process that converts fine powders into larger, more uniform aggregates called granules. This technique improves the flow properties, compressibility, and content uniformity of powder mixtures, making them suitable for tablet compression or capsule filling. Wet granulation involves the use of a liquid binder, while dry granulation uses compaction.
