A solid dosage form containing one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients, with or without excipients, prepared by compression or molding. Tablets are the most common oral medication form due to their accuracy of dosage, stability, and ease of administration. They can be designed for immediate release, sustained release, or enteric protection.
