Pellet
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008586
A small, spherical or semi-spherical solid dosage form composed of agglomerated fine powders or granules of drug substances and excipients. Pellets are produced by processes like extrusion and spheronization, creating particles with a narrow size distribution. They are often filled into capsules or compressed into tablets to achieve modified-release drug delivery profiles.
