Drug delivery system

A formulation or device that transports a pharmaceutical agent to its site of action within the body. These systems are designed to control the rate, time, and location of drug release, enhancing therapeutic efficacy and reducing side effects. Examples include sustained-release tablets, transdermal patches, and implantable pumps.
