Targeted drug delivery
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011822
A method of administering a therapeutic agent such that it preferentially accumulates in the diseased tissue or cell type, minimizing exposure to healthy tissues. This approach aims to increase drug efficacy and reduce systemic side effects. It often involves conjugating drugs to specific ligands or encapsulating them in nanoparticles that recognize disease markers.
