Multilayer tablet

A pharmaceutical dosage form composed of two or more distinct layers of compacted granular material, each containing different active pharmaceutical ingredients or excipients. This design allows for controlled release profiles, separation of incompatible drugs, or improved aesthetic appearance. It is often used for sustained-release formulations.
