Multilayer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007641
A film composed of two or more distinct monolayers stacked on top of each other. The individual layers can be made of the same or different materials, creating a composite structure with specific properties. Multilayer films are constructed using techniques such as molecular beam epitaxy or layer-by-layer deposition.
