Multigenerational study
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007640
A toxicological experiment designed to assess the effects of a substance on reproductive function and development across two or more successive generations of a test species. The parental generation is exposed before mating, and exposure continues through their offspring (F1 generation) to at least the F2 generation. Such studies evaluate fertility, gestation, lactation, and offspring viability, following guidelines like OECD Test Guideline 416.
