Two-generation reprotox study

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012378

An animal study designed to assess the potential adverse effects of a substance on reproductive function and development over two successive generations. Parental animals (F0 generation) are exposed to the substance before mating and throughout gestation and lactation, and their offspring (F1 generation) are then raised and similarly evaluated for reproductive health. This type of study provides data on fertility, litter size, offspring viability, and developmental abnormalities across generations.
