Fertility

The physiological capacity of an individual or a mating pair to conceive and produce offspring. It encompasses all biological factors required for reproduction, including the production of functional gametes, the ability to mate, and the successful implantation and development of an embryo. In toxicology, fertility is assessed through reproductive studies that measure parameters such as mating success, pregnancy rates, and litter size.
