Collembolan reproduction test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002211
A standardized ecotoxicological assay used to assess the effects of chemical substances on the reproductive capacity of springtails (Collembola), small soil-dwelling arthropods. Adult springtails are exposed to contaminated soil, and the number of offspring produced over a specific period is measured. This test provides data on chronic toxicity and reproductive impairment in soil invertebrates, often following OECD Guideline 232.
