Fish reproduction assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004446
A laboratory test designed to evaluate the effects of chemical substances on the reproductive capacity of fish, often involving exposure of adult fish over an extended period. This assay assesses endpoints such as fecundity, fertility, egg production, and the viability of offspring. It is frequently employed to identify endocrine-disrupting chemicals that interfere with hormonal regulation of reproduction.
