Delayed-type hypersensitivity assay

A laboratory or in vivo test used to assess cell-mediated immune responses, particularly those involving T helper 1 (Th1) cells. It measures the inflammatory reaction that develops hours to days after re-exposure to an antigen. This assay is often employed to evaluate immune function or detect sensitization to specific substances.
