Host-resistance assay

A laboratory test used to evaluate the ability of an organism to resist infection or disease after exposure to a pathogen or toxic substance. This assay measures the immune system's capacity to mount an effective defense against a challenge. Outcomes are often assessed by survival rates, pathogen load, or disease severity.
