Immune system

A complex network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body from pathogens, foreign substances, and abnormal cells. It distinguishes between self and non-self, mounting specific responses to eliminate threats while maintaining tolerance to host tissues. This system comprises both innate and adaptive components, each contributing to host defense.
