Adaptive immune response
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000221
A highly specific and memory-driven immune reaction that targets particular pathogens or foreign substances, developing after initial exposure. This response involves the activation and proliferation of B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes, leading to the production of antibodies and cytotoxic T cells. It provides long-lasting protection against specific threats.
