Lymphocyte

A type of white blood cell that is a key component of the adaptive immune system. Lymphocytes include B cells, T cells, and natural killer cells, each with specialized roles in recognizing and eliminating pathogens or abnormal cells. They are primarily found in lymphatic tissues and blood.
