Lymphatic tissue

A specialized connective tissue containing a high concentration of lymphocytes and other immune cells, organized into structures that support immune responses. It forms the basis of the immune system, filtering lymph and blood, and initiating adaptive immunity. Examples include lymph nodes, spleen, tonsils, and Peyer's patches.
