Tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013672
A type of lymphocyte, primarily T cells, that has migrated from the bloodstream into the tumor microenvironment. These immune cells represent the host's attempt to mount an immune response against cancer cells. The presence and characteristics of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes are often correlated with patient prognosis and response to immunotherapy.
