Neoantigen

A new antigen that is not present in the normal host genome and arises from somatic mutations within tumor cells. These unique antigens are recognized by the immune system as foreign, making them prime targets for anti-tumor immune responses. Neoantigens are highly specific to individual tumors and are a focus of cancer immunotherapy research.
