Tumor immunology

The study of the interactions between the immune system and cancer cells, focusing on how the immune system recognizes and eliminates tumors, and how tumors evade immune responses. This field investigates the mechanisms of anti-tumor immunity and develops strategies for cancer immunotherapy. It encompasses both innate and adaptive immune responses.
