Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005667

A dynamic process describing the bidirectional interaction between the immune system and developing tumors, comprising three phases: elimination, equilibrium, and escape. In the elimination phase, the immune system destroys nascent tumor cells. During equilibrium, tumor growth is controlled but not eradicated, while in the escape phase, tumor cells evolve to evade immune detection and destruction.
