Acquired immunity

A specific type of immunity that develops after exposure to an antigen, either through infection or vaccination. It involves the production of antibodies and specialized immune cells that recognize and eliminate specific pathogens. This form of immunity provides long-lasting protection against re-exposure to the same pathogen.
