Natural immunity

The inherent, non-specific defense mechanisms of an organism against pathogens and foreign substances, present from birth. This system provides immediate protection and does not require prior exposure to a specific antigen to be activated. Components include physical barriers, phagocytic cells like macrophages, natural killer cells, and inflammatory responses.
