Popliteal lymph node assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009264
An in vivo test used to assess the immunotoxic potential of a substance by measuring its ability to induce lymphocyte proliferation in the popliteal lymph nodes of rodents. The test substance is injected into the footpad, and the immune response in the draining lymph node is evaluated. This assay is a sensitive method for identifying compounds that can cause immune sensitization.
