Skin sensitization test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010931
An experimental procedure designed to identify substances that can induce an allergic contact dermatitis reaction upon skin exposure. These tests involve applying a substance to the skin of an animal, such as a guinea pig or mouse, and observing for an immune response after re-exposure. Common methods include the Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA) and the Guinea Pig Maximization Test.
