Dermatitis

An inflammation of the skin characterized by symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and the formation of blisters or lesions. It can be caused by direct contact with irritants, allergic reactions to specific substances, or underlying medical conditions. Contact dermatitis, a common form, is classified as either irritant contact dermatitis or allergic contact dermatitis, depending on the mechanism of the skin reaction.
