Atopic dermatitis

A chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by intensely itchy, red, and scaly rashes, often occurring in individuals with a genetic predisposition to atopy. It is associated with a compromised skin barrier function and an exaggerated immune response to environmental triggers. This condition is also known as atopic eczema.
