Atopic allergy

A hypersensitivity reaction mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies, leading to symptoms such as asthma, eczema, or hay fever. This type of allergy involves a genetic predisposition to produce IgE in response to common environmental allergens. The reaction manifests rapidly upon re-exposure to the allergen.
