Skin test

A diagnostic procedure involving the introduction of a small amount of an allergen or antigen into or onto the skin to detect a specific immune response. The reaction, such as redness or swelling, is observed and measured to identify sensitivities or assess immune status. This method is frequently used to diagnose allergies or evaluate cell-mediated immunity.
