Prick test

A diagnostic procedure used to identify immediate hypersensitivity reactions to specific allergens. A small amount of allergen extract is applied to the skin, which is then lightly pricked with a needle. A positive reaction is indicated by the development of a wheal and flare within 15-20 minutes.
