Intradermal test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006009
A diagnostic procedure involving the injection of a small amount of an allergen or antigen into the dermis of the skin to detect hypersensitivity reactions. The test site is then observed for a localized reaction, such as redness and swelling, indicating a positive response. This method is more sensitive than a skin prick test for certain allergens.
