Lymphocyte proliferation test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006833
An in vitro assay used to measure the ability of lymphocytes to divide and multiply in response to a stimulus, such as an antigen or mitogen. This test assesses the functional capacity of the cellular immune system. Cell division is often quantified by measuring the incorporation of tritiated thymidine or other labels.
