Mixed lymphocyte response
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007427
An in vitro immunological assay used to assess the histocompatibility between two individuals, typically by co-culturing lymphocytes from both. When T lymphocytes from one individual recognize foreign major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens on the cells of another, they proliferate. This response is a measure of the potential for graft rejection in transplantation.
