Lymphocyte homing receptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006832
A cell surface molecule on lymphocytes that mediates their selective adhesion to endothelial cells in specific lymphoid organs or inflamed tissues. These receptors recognize and bind to complementary ligands, known as addressins, on the endothelial surface. An example is L-selectin, which guides lymphocytes to peripheral lymph nodes.
