L-selectin

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006799

A cell adhesion molecule expressed on the surface of leukocytes, playing a key role in their initial rolling and tethering to endothelial cells during inflammation and immune surveillance. It mediates the binding of leukocytes to high endothelial venules in lymph nodes. L-selectin is also known as CD62L.
