Mucosal addressin cell adhesion molecule-1
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007613
A cell surface glycoprotein expressed on endothelial cells of mucosal venules, particularly in the gut. It functions as a ligand for integrins on lymphocytes, directing their homing to mucosal lymphoid tissues. This molecule is involved in immune surveillance and inflammatory responses within the gastrointestinal tract.
